One of the victims of the kidnap that took place on Thursday and a Pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Ibelegbo Chidimma, has disclosed the identity of her kidnappers.
Mrs Chidimma alongside four other clerics of the Redeemed Christian Church were abducted at Ijebu Ode, while on their way to attend the church’s Ministers’ conference.
Operatives of Ogun State Police Command had earlier on Saturday announced the rescue of the church cleric from her abductors.
Speaking at the ongoing conference on Saturday night, Mrs. Ibelegbo said she and her colleagues were kidnapped by Fulani herdsmen.
On how she escaped from her armed abductors, Ibelegbo said “prayer saved me.” “I prayed that my captors should fall asleep and as soon as they did, i took to my heels” she said.
