A Police Inspector attached to Isua Divisional Police Office in Akoko south East local government area of Ondo state has been killed by yet to be identified gunmen.
The Officer TVC reports, was killed in the early hours of Monday, 5th August.
According to the report, a police Sergeant who was with the police inspector narrowly escaped death.
The gunmen ambushed the policemen along Ise-Akoko -Isua road, border towns of Kogi and Edo states.
They were on an official assignment when the gunmen struck.
Police spokesperson, Femi Joseph confirmed the incident, saying the police have launched a manhunt for the killers.
