Uche Nwosu

The Guber candidate of the Action Alliance In the last election in Imo state, Uche Nwosu has been reinstated by the Appeal Court.

The Appeal Court sitting in Owerri, the State capital in their ruling, set aside the ruling of the Imo State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal, which struck off the name of the Action Alliance from the petition filed by their candidate Ugwumba Uche Nwosu.

The 5-man panel led by Justice Owoade JCA, dismissed the objections of the respondents and unanimously agreed that the tribunal was misled into granting the prayers of a faction of the Action Alliance, requesting to be struck off from the petition, as the processes neither followed laid down procedures, nor served the interest of justice.

The Panel therefore ordered the Tribunal to immediately reinstate the Action Alliance as a petitioner in the matter.
