…Narrates she was never kidnapped
ENUGU— The Enugu State Police Command has disclosed it has in its custody, one Kosisochukwu Anioma, whose Father, Mr Frank Anioma, a former council chairman, alleged she was kidnapped by criminal elements in the state.
According to a statement from the said Kosisochukwu who is now with the Anti-kidnapping unit of the Command, she traveled out to Owerri, Imo State to visit her boyfriend without the knowledge of her Father or other members of her family, dismissing the claim by her father that she was abducted.
The former council boss’ daughter also disclosed that she decided to visit her boyfriend whom she has been friends with since secondary school, owing to the long vacation period that prevailed.
According to the statement, “Contrary to the fake hype of an incident of kidnapping of one Kosisochukwu Anioma by her Father, Frank Anioma on 22/8/19, fresh and convincing facts have emerged on the purported kidnapping incident as widely spread by Frank Anioma, the father of Kosisochukwu.
“Kosisochukwu who is now with the operatives of the Anti-kidnapping unit of the Enugu State Command as at time of this report, revealed that she was never abducted by anyone and that she willingly left their home and headed to the park at Holy Ghost, without telling anyone and headed to Owerri where she met her boyfriend.
“Kosisochukwu confessed that both of them have been secondary school friends at Abakaliki but needed to go see him up following the prolonged school holiday.”
Kosisochukwu who is said to be about 14 years old is gearing for SS1 if school reopens same with her boyfriend who hails from Owerri, Imo state.
“I was not abducted nor kidnapped as stated by my father, I went out willingly from the compound,” she admitted.
Following the alarm of the fake kidnapping by Frank Anioma, operatives of the Anti-kidnapping unit of the Enugu State Command swung into action and through intelligence information, discovered that she was not kidnapped but already settling with her boyfriend in Owerri, having disappeared from the parents’ house without their knowledge.
It could be recalled that the father of Kosisochukwu had on August 22, 2019 taken to social media that her daughter was missing and was kidnapped by unknown criminal elements in the state.
