…if only we could be listened to
Responding to the rising spate of insecurity in Enugu state, a youth advocacy movement COAL CITY YOUTHS INITIATIVE says it has a solution to the security challenges rocking the state, if only their voice could be heard.
The Director General of the group who doubles as the Nigerian consultant Net4 Radio London Comrade Johnpaul Anih made this known in Enugu on Friday, when the Executives of the group paid a courtesy visit to Prof. Jude Udenta in his office.
Comrade Anih said that the members of the group scattered across the 17 Local Governments have decided to volunteer themselves in ensuring eternal peace, hence SECURITY is everyones business.
“We have a solution to the numerous security challenges bedeviling this state and we are ready to advice the government on what to do, if they could give us a listening ear” he said
“We have written to this administration about two times, but got no response” he revealed.
The state Coordinator, Hon Remigius Ozonwama in a remark, eulogiesed the Government for the steps taken and urged them to re-double her efforts.
A member of the group’s legal team Barr. Emmanuel Nwachukwu called on the state government to boldly enact legislations & policies that will make the state impenetrable for hoodlums.
Responding, Prof. Jude Udenta who expressed joy for the visit, assured them of his readiness to partner the group in the areas of good Governance, peace and internal security, protection of lives & property, aswell as job creation for the teeming youths.
