An American author, John C. Maxwell once wrote and I quote, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way”.
An Ogbaku born successful businessman, a philanthropist cum humble politician in the person of Hon. Stanley Okeke (Atu Ogbaku) is a definition of this quote by John C. Maxwell.
From the day he came into office as the caretaker chairman and till date he occupied office as elected chairman of Awgu local government area, Hon Stanley Okeke has been a blessing to Ndi Awgu, his relationship and undiluted support to our Governor, HE Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has attracted many landmark project to Ndi Awgu which include the building of the first University of Education in the South East Geo-political zone, the Enugu State University of Education in Ihe community, the renovation of the Enugu state Games Village Awgu, which will soon kick off after the unscheduled visit of our Governor to the long-abandoned sports monument and etcetera.
Even in the midst of challenges, Hon Stanley Okeke always triumph because one with God is majority, his good governance in Awgu speaks volume of him, his administration made Ndi Awgu to realised that irrespective of your social status or position in Awgu you have access to the chairman office at any giving time to interact and share positive developmental ideas with him, he accommodate and respect whoever that comes his way.
Hon Stanley Okeke’s selfless approach, commitment, dedication and relentless efforts towards handling and tackling the recent security challenge in our land is commendable which has yield a good result, at this juncture, kindly permit me to say a big “Thank you” to the peoples mayor.
