The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Enugu State Chapter and the Secretary of the Forum of APC State Chairmen including the FCT, Dr. Barr. Ben Nwoye has admonished the duo of Deacon Okey Ogbodo and Mr. Adolphus Ude to get themselves acquainted with the constitution of the party to guide them accordingly.
Dr. Nwoye, who was reacting to a press statement credited to Mr Ogbodo and Mr. Ude where they called for sanction of the 36-state Chairmen of the party for their earlier position, described the duo as “notorious for impersonation” pleaded with the state Chairmen to disregard their “rantings.”
In a terse statement issued by Ebubeagu Felix Okafor, Media Bureau Chief to Dr. Ben Nwoye, he made it clear to the public that the position of the state Chairmen of the party bothering on the welfare of the members of the party is the right thing to do.
The statement reads;
“The Attention of the Enugu State Chairman of APC Dr. Ben Nwoye has been drawn to press release credited to Mr. Adolphus Ude and Deacon Okey Ogbodo, where the duo attached the communique issued by all the thirty six state chairmen of APC under Alhaji Dalori of Borno state as Coordinating Chairman and Dr. Ben Nwoye as Coordinating secretary.
“Dr. Nwoye would not have responded to the rantings of Okey Ogbodo and Adolphus Ude if they mentioned only the Amuri born Multimillionaire, but their reference to all the thirty six state chairmen who canvassed for the reward of party members in appointments by APC lead administration was a joke taken too far.
“Their call for sanctioning of the entire state chairmen who are automatic members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party is a clear indication that both Adolphus Ude and Okey Ogbodo are ignorant of APC’s constitution.
“Both men, who are notorious for impersonation of party leaders in the state are on their dirty political job again after they falsely paraded one Tagbo Ogara as APC Enugu state gubernatorial candidate with intent to destabilize the party when tow of them acted as the Chairman and Deputy chairman of the party respectively.
“The thirty six state chairmen are resolute in their call for the rewards of the party faithfuls who worked hard for the success of the party before, during and after the 2019 general elections. As the the Bible says, a labourer deserves his wages.
“The discontent of Ude and Ogbodo over the position of the Chairmen is like the position of a woman in the Bible who’s child was dead and was caught attempting to steal another woman’s living baby. When King Solomon in his God given wisdom sought to know who’s child is living and who own was the dead baby, it was of course the owner of the dead baby like Ude and Ogbodo that requested that both the living and dead baby should be shared so that everyone will loose. Else, where’s the wisdom in condemning the call by the chairmen for the rewards of the party faithfuls (which would even benefit the duo if they’re faithful to the party) in government appointments
“Okey Ogbodo and Adolphus Ude having successfully buried their political future in APC, are now calling for sanctioning of the entire thirty six state chairmen of APC is a clear demonstration of their rascalities in utterance.
“The thirty six state chairmen of the party, APC do not need to take further actions against the duo of Ude and Ogbodo as Dr. Nwoye and his Enugu team has successfully placed the paper tigers where they belong.
“However, notice of the nuisance sabotaging activities of these men against APC has been taken and watch on their activities well placed.
“The thirty six state chairmen of APC are committed to the welfare of its members and Nigerians at large and will stop at nothing in pushing for their welfare.”
