THE Inspector General of Police Mohammed Abubakar Adamu has commended the Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer and national coordinator, Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), SP Ebere Amaraizu over his display of competence and skills in public relations.

He made the commendation on the occassion of his declaration of the five-day training programme of all the police public relations officers of the Nigeria Police Force held at Golden Tulip Hotel, Agulu Lake Resort Anambra state which ended last Friday, October 11th.

According to the IGP Adamu who took time to describe Amaraizu’s style of public relations approach to issues, he maintained that during his days as the commissioner of police in Enugu state where he served for three years, SP Amaraizu was the magic towards closing the gap between the police and the public which made the Command’s community engagement programmes very effective.

He further charged all the police public relations officers to live up to their responsibilities as public relations officers and maintained that it was one of those factors that gave rise to the approval of the training which was targeted to help police relations officers to sharpen their public relations and communications skills.

According to the IGP, “SP Ebere Amaraizu is the connecting link of all police programme and usually takes it to the public and win confidence and trust.”

The training programme of all the PPROs started on October 8, 2019 and ended on October 11, 2019 with a closing remark and declaration of the training closed as well as presentation of certificate of attendance to course participants.
