A Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital has ruled that the All Progressives Congress (APC) cannot field candidates in the Saturday November 16, 2019 governorship election in the state.
The court ruling on the case instituted by one of the contestants in the prinaries, Sen. Heineken Lokpobri, the Court holds that the APC has no governorship candidate in Saturday’s election as the “primaries were not done in compliance of the guidelines and constitution of the party”.
This is the second court judgment against the candidate of the APC in the Bayelsa poll as a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja had disqualified the Deputy Governor of the APC and by implication, the Guber Candidate.
The election comes up on the 16th of November, that’s less than 48 hours from now.
