An Appeal Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers state has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to include the All Progressive Congress, APC and it’s candidate, David Lyon in the list of contestant in the forth coming Gubernatorial election in the state.

The court said Lyon remained the candidate of the APC for the election pending the determination of an appeal he filed against the judgement of the lower court.

The three-man appeal court panel led by Justice A.O Sodipe gave the order after an ex-patre motion was filed by the counsel of the APC candidate, Michael Numa making the court to order INEC to maintain status quo ante bellum pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice for interlocutory application.

The Judgement also restricted INEC from removing the name of APC and it’s logo from the ballot papers.

The panel ordered that applicants serve all the respondents notices and other processes before adjourning till 21st of November for mention.
