Reports reaching our desk this morning reveals that the parish priest of St. Patrick catholic church, Ihuonyia, in Amasi Odo, Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu state, Rev. Fr. Theophilus Ndulue has regained his freedom from his abductors.
The priest was abducted on friday on his way from Enugu after a Diocesan Council meeting at the Holy ghost Catherderal, Enugu.
Speaking on the release, the Enugu state police command through its Public Relation Officer, SP Ebere Amarizu confirming the release stated that the priest was released unhurt.
Also confirming the release, the Catholic Diocese of enugu state confirmed the release in a statement that reads;
“Rev. Fr. Theophilus Ndulue,the Parish Priest of St. Patrick Ihuonyia, Amansi-Odo, Ezeagu Local Government Area who was abducted on the evening of Friday 15th November 2019 on his way back from the Diocesan Pastoral council meeting held at Holy Ghost Cathedral, Enugu, has been rescued”.
