A member of the House of Representatives and the lawmaker representing Ona-Ara/Egbeda Constituency in the green chamber, Akin Alabi, has condemned the re-arrest of Omoyele Sowore by the operatives of the Department of State Security, DSS inside the court premises saying that; “No matter whose side you are on, this cannot be right in anyway.”

Reacting to the development, Alabi said; “The DSS will have to explain why Sowore was rearrested. And the reason has to be HUGE.”

The lawmaker made the statement via his twitter account stressing that the act amounts to “desecration of the judiciary” and contrary to the laws of separation of powers.

“We just debated on the floor yesterday about separation of powers but this is a desecration of the judiciary,” Hon. Alabi said.

Journalist101 recalls that, the presidential candidate in the last election who was granted bail by the court on the 5th of December was in court today only to be whisked away by the DSS who have pressed fresh charges against him.
