The Movement Of Biafrans In Nigeria, MOBIN, has declared their support for the Senate minority leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe on his call for the President to step aside if he can’t handle the security situation of the country.
In a terse statement signed by Nwaada Eberechukwu Anigbogu, the Director General of MOBIN, the group wondered why stating the obvious is now a crime in Nigeria and called on everyone that has lost their loved one as a result of the insecurity in the country to rise in support of Abaribe.
The statement reads;
“The Movement Of Biafrans In Nigeria, MOBIN, a political organisation of the indigenous people of Biafra wishes to express our profound support for the minority leader of the Senate, Senator Enyinnaya Harcourt Abaribe.
“His call isn’t only timely, it represents the feelings of all the people that are victims of insecurity in the country. From Katsina, the President’s home state to Zamfara to Bornu all the way down to Benue, and the entire Biafra land, it is the same situation with different names.
“Rather than call for the head of our Illustrious son, the presidency and indeed the entire country should salute his courage in speaking truth to power for the betterment of the citizens.
“We call on all our representatives whose parents’ farmland have been ravaged by herdsmen to support Sen Abaribe and any other fellow that represents the interest of our people.”
