The apex youth organisation in Nkanu Land- Nkanu Youth Council has honoured the former governor of old Anambra State, His Excellency, Senator Dr. Jim Nwobodo (OON) as the grand-patron of the youth organization.
The honour was bestowed on the former governor when the Executive Council of the apex leadership body of the Youths of Enugu East Senatorial Zone otherwise known as NKANU YOUTH COUNCIL paid him a visit on Sunday, 16th February.
Presenting the Grand-Patron Certicate to Dr Jim (Anyanwu N’ Awalu Ora na Igboland) and his lovely wife, Barr Dr Pat Nwobodo, in his country home at Amaechi,
the President of Nkanu Youth Council Comr. Monday Diamond Ani, who spoke on behalf of the youths of Nkanuland. described Jim as the father of Nkanu Nation, because as the Governor of the then Old Anambra State, he(Jim) brought core values, social cum economic dignity, cultural and traditional respect to Nkanu Nation.
In their response, His Excellency Sen Dr Jim Nwobodo and his wife, Barr. Dr. Pat Nwobodo promised to give the youth organization their unflinching support to further project the image of Nkanu Nation, promote youth emancipation through empowerment and help in the maintenance of peace and security in the Society.
