The current Deputy Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Abraham Ngobere, has emerged as the new Speaker of the Assembly.
His emergence follows the stepping down of the Speaker of the House, Monday Bubou-Obolo.
The speaker stepped down because the new Governor, Douye Diri is from the same Senatorial District (Bayelsa Central Senatorial District) as the speaker, Bubou-Obolo.
