The fight for who seats on the throne as Emir of the ancient city of Kano might not be over anytime soon after the forceful dethronement Sanusi Lamido II and subsequently sending him on exile.
News filtering in indicates that the deposed Kano Emir has vowed to challenge his dethronement and banishment in court.
This was disclosed by his lawyer, Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN), in a briefing few minutes ago in Abuja.
He said the restriction of the Emir’s movement and his dethronement were unlawful and gross violation of his human rights.
