Ebonyi state, south east Nigeria has joined Imo and Abia States as the only states in the South East with confirmed cases of the COVID-19.
The case was announced by on Sunday evening the governor of the state, Engr. Dave Umahi who stated that the index case is a commercial Sienna driver.
The Governor further disclosed that the driver transports food items from Abakaliki to a part of Southwest Nigeria, Ondo state in particular.
The driver hails from Onitsha Local government area of the state.
