Abia State government has concluded plans to distribute some palliative to non-Indegenes of the state to help ameliorate the effects of the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a Public Service Announcement signed by Chief John Okiyi Kalu, the Honorable Commissioner for Information, the date for the distribution of the items is Friday, 1st May, 2020 by 10.30am prompt at the food bank of the inter ministerial committee on COVID-19 located at the Office of Wife of the Governor, Government House, Umuahia.
The announcement also directed each association to come with their Chairman/President who should be accompanied by the Secretary and any other member of the executive body.
The associations that will benefit from the largess are;
1. Ebonyi Peoples’ Assembly
2. Anambra State Town Unions Association
3. Association of Imo Town Unions
3. Enugu State Consultative Forum
5. Akwa Ibom Indigenous Association
