On Assumption of office as the Commissioner of Police Imo state Command from Plateau state Command, CP Isaac Olutayo Akinmoyede did not delay in getting into Policing activities in Imo state.
One of his key tool was the involvement of different stakeholders in the policing of the state which is the cardinal ingredient of the community policing vision and mission of the Nigeria Police Force Under IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu.
Survey by IGP MA Adamu POCACOV Resource Centre Enugu revealed that CP Akinmoyede has provided leadership direction as a POCACOV Friendly Commissioner of Police and ensuring that each of his Divisional Police Officers(DPOs) are connected to their various communities under their areas of responsibilities.
This no doubt, has made Imo state police Command Under CP Akinmoyede a proactive and people friendly Command.
His Community Policing approach and leadership direction has improved Police Community/Youth Relationship which is a clear demonstration of a transparent Police Force and a panacea of winning Policing Confidence.
Today, People are more related to their police because CP Isaac Akinmoyede has proved himself to be an epitome of community policing in the state and through this, has equally shown uncommon maturity and high level of professionalism in the ways and manners he has handled issues as well as police/public engagement as a man of few words but action packed under the tenets of community oriented policing.
As a POCACOV friendly Commissioner of Police, CP Akinmoyede has ensured that Advocacy, Awareness Creations/Sensitization as well as re-orientations remain his cardinal tools and watchword.
POCACOV through one of her Ambassadors Kingsley Egbuna and POCACOV Volunteer Club members call him “Pillar of POCACOV” as the commissioner of Police, Isaac Akinmoyede has demonstrated severally that he cannot do it alone but through community oriented Policing; police will remain connected with community and promptly resolve issues together.
