The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has fixed a date for the conduct of bye-election to replace the dead lawmaker in Enugu State.
The electoral body in a tweet via their twitter account on Tuesday evening, said the election to replace late Hon. Chijioke Ugwueze who represented Isi-Uzo state constituency in the state House of Assembly will take place on October 31st, 2020
Journalist101 recall that the late lawmaker, Hon. Chijioke Ugwueze died on Friday June 19th, 2020 in an Enugu hospital.
The late lawmaker was reportedly sick for one week before his demise which also led to the shutting down of the Assembly complex.
Similarly, INEC said the bye-election for Bakori State Constituency, Katsina State is also scheduled for 31st October 2020.
