The Police Campaign Against Cultism and other Vices (POCACOV) has stated that its ongoing Community mobilization and engagement programmes across the federation is geared towards deepening the campaign and getting stakeholders together for positive engagement and resolution of issues relating to crime and criminality especially cultism and other vices in the country.

This was made known by the National Coordinator of POCACOV, CSP Ebere Amaraizu at the IGP M.A Adamu Pocacov Resource Centre Enugu while reacting on the essence of variuos community engagement programmes of POCACOV.

According to him: “You must engage with stakeholders and that is the involvement and ingredients of the Community Oriented Policing as a tree cannot make a forest.”

Amaraizu also commended the efforts of the Commissioner of Police, CP Janet Agbede, the POCACOV Team in Abia State led by Amb Darlington Onuoha Kalu, POCACOV State Coordinator, DSP James Chibuko and other stakeholders in Abia state for stepping up action on Community engagement/partnership programme aimed at actualizing the process of POCACOV community peace building.

He also lauded the the ongoing community engagement through POCACOV Volunteer Club Scheme of Safer Community /School Partnership in Abia state.

Recall that recently, POCACOV Abia State Team, concluded a community engagement activities with the Aba Landlords and Development Association and Aba Hotel owners Association. They also inaugurated a twelve member committee of POCACOV VOLUNTEER CLUB for safer community partnership from the Association to be meeting regularly and liaising with their local police.

“POCACOV is working with different stakeholders and galvanizing their support towards achieving peace, stability in communities, we want all and sundry to identify and throw their weight behind POCACOV because it is built on the people and it is all about you,” Amaraizu said.
