…As Former House of Representatives Member, Barr. KGB Oguakwa, Predicts Aso Rock Villa or Red Chamber as the next political destination of the Governor.
Though 2023 general election is over two years away, a political event that might have changed the political permutation of the state took place today, 19th September, 2020 at Enugu State government House.
Today, the entire structure of Ebeano political Family paid a solidarity visit to the Governor, Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and also pledged their unflinching and unalloyed support to the Governor whom the Leader and Founder of Ebeano Family; Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani described as “a man of destiny” and one them.
Sen. Nnamani also extolled Gov. Ugwuanyi for keeping the vision and philosophy of the “Ebeano” alive and stressed that he (Ugwuanyi) deserves the same political privileges enjoyed by his predecessors in the choice of their successors as well as other positions.
Senator Dr. Nnamani also assured the governor that they will fully mobilize the entire state and rally support for his political decisions in 2023. “Where you are going is where shall go”.
Sen. Nnamani further disclosed that Ebeano signifies “balancing of interest, applying leverages to guarantee interest” and their visit is anoint the Governor as the new leader of the Ebeano Family in the state.
In his speech, Governor Ugwuanyi who accepted the new role described the visit by Ebeano Political family as “a Family re-union” as it availed him the opportunity to see old friends and associates.
The governor also said that he’s not unaware of the supports of the Ebeano Family adding that the solidarity visit was “a spontaneous freewill demonstration of your support with the sole aim of affording our administration the peace, focus and conducive operating political environment to consolidate our modest achievements and deliver more dividends of democracy to Ndi Enugu”.
Gov. Ugwuanyi also acknowledged Sen. Nnamani for the unique role he played in his political career; “I therefore proudly acknowledge God’s faithfulness using this family at the beginning of my political odyssey and I say – to God be the glory”.
Reiterating his resolve to continue to serve the people of Enugu State diligently, the governor noted: “The event of today is a most humbling experience; it challenges us to a deeper reflection and further reinforces our commitment to serve Ndi Enugu”.
He therefore assured the people of the state that his administration will always work for their great good.
A former House of Representatives Member, Barrister KGB Oguakwa, a field marshal of the Ebeano group, had a stirring goodwill message which resurrected First & Second Republic’s flamboyant politician Dr. K.O. Mbadiwe’s popular quote “when come comes to become”. Oguakwa cast Gburugburu in the garbs of a “Daniel come to judgement” and quoted the Holy Bible’s Proverbs, 29:2 “when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice” ..crediting Governor Ugwuanyi, whom he fondly describes as his friend, with engendering sustainable peace across previously fratricidal partisan divisions in Enugu State through the sheer force of Ugwuanyi’s disarming humility and suffuse goodwill. For what he referred to as “an inimitably inclusive novel style of communal democracy which, inter alia, deliberately conscripted the lowest strata of rural self-governance into the overall development equation”, Hon Oguakwa predicted the imminence of Governor Ugwuanyi’s political elevation, via election, to either the Aso Rock Villa or the Red Chamber of the National Assembly in 2023.
At the event were Dr. Dan Shere, the State Coordinator of Ebeano movement, other top ranking leaders of the Ebeano Family, political leaders in the state both past and present and supporters from the 260 wards in the state.
