Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the just concluded Edo governorship election has reacted to his defeat at the September 19th poll.
The APC candidate who was trounced in the election even in his local government said he’s studying the results and will make his next line of action known very soon.
Pastor Osagie also thanked his supporters and alleged that they were prevented from exercising their franchise.
“I hereby thank and appreciate my teeming supporters, who have had to endure many evils including being prevented from exercising their franchise, for their support and determination during the election process.
“I assure you all that I am studying the results along with other party members and will announce the next line of action soon. God bless you all.”
The incumbent governor and flagbearer of the People’s Democratic Party carried the day with 308,125 votes while Ize-Iyamu, garnerd 223,622 votes according to the final results announced on Sunday in Benin City, capital of Edo by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
