The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV) has concluded modalities for another community engagement and community peace building programme through the POCACOV Anti-Vice football match for youth reorientation and strategic leadership direction.
According to POCACOV National Coordinator, CSP Ebere Amaraizu, who disclosed this to newsmen on Tuesday at the IGP Adamu Pocacov Resource Centre, “POCACOV through its POCACOV Volunteer Club (PVC) for safer community/school partnership is partnering with the National Association of Ahani-Achi Youth Progress(NAAAYP), Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu state on this community driven programme designed to deepen the message of POCACOV as it concerns cultism, sexual and gender-based violence, substance/drug abuse, cyber crime, thuggery/violence and other vices amongst nigerian youths with a view to sensitizing them on the inherent dangers thereby saving them from its claws for a safe and secured society.
“The event is expected to take place on 26th September, 2020 beginning from 10am local time at Community Central School Ahani-Achi Oji River Enugu state.
“Activities lined up as part of the events includes POCACOV lectures/workshop and seminars, youth empowerment training and lectures and process of engagement for youth strategic leadership direction in line with the actualization of goal 16 (PEACE, JUSTICE AND STRONG INSTITUTION) of the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).”
