Political pressure group; “South East Political Watchdog” have hinted their preparedness to commence the process to recall the member, representing Enugu North and South Federal constituency at the Green Chamber, Hon Offor Chukwuegbo, over what they described as “Appalling waste of an opportunity and representation disaster ” by the the lawmaker.
The group, led by a political activist and Journalist, Comrade Sebastine Okafor (BOOKASTRO) frowned at the misrepresentation of the good people of Enugu North and South by the lawmaker.
In a statement made available to newsmen, the group claims that the lawmaker has refused to stamp a blueprint at the Green chamber.
“Hon Offor Chukwuegbo who is on his third term mission, has proven to be a wasted vote and also wasted opportunity for the constituents.
“He rarely has even a single motion under his name; neither does he have any federal project that he has attracted to his constituents in his overall 9 years as a member of the Green chamber.
The group also frowned at the gimmicks of fulfilling his promises to some of his cronies which he tagged, an empowerment program for his constituents .
“Hon Offor Chukwuegbo in fulfilling his promises, shared a sum of ₦24 million to his close allies in fulfillment of his promise during election; having sold most of his properties during the electioneering period.
“It is an insult generalising such a profligate gesture as an empowerment because, that is what he must do, if not, his position would be made inconveniencing by those people.
“Hon Offor Chukwuegbo can no longer deceive us as we have seen from his colleagues representing OJI, Awgu Aninri, Nkanu East and West, amongst others, what representation entails.”
The Group however, reiterated that, they are through with their consultation with the people over recalling the Lawmaker and using it, to set a precedence to others.
“we have consulted widely over the processes involved and have garnered supports from far and wide in ensuring that, this mission, becomes a success.
“We will soon write to INEC on it and we are confident of of being victorious at the end.
Hon Offor Chukwuegbo, must be recalled,” the statement concluded.
