Protests against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad(SARS), demanding an end to Police brutality, heated the streets of Enugu metropolis earlier today with hundreds of youths coming together for the protest.

Award winning musicians also joined the #ENDSARS protest seeking for the reformation of SARS and end to police brutality, assault and maltreatment in the country.

In Enugu, where the protest is ongoing, Chinedu Izuchukwu Okoli aka Flavour has denied himself the comfort in his house to join protesters who are furiously demanding an end to the operations and activities of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.

Joining him in the protest was Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, aka Phyno and another Igbo rapper Zoro.

At the course of the protest, the protesters made a couple of demands which includes among others, the immediate release of all protesters and justice for all deceased victims of police brutality and appropriate compensation for their families.

Others include setting up an independent body to oversee the investigation and prosecution of all reports of police misconduct within 10 days, psychological evaluation and retraining of all disbanded SARS officers by an independent body before they can be redeployed and increase in the remuneration of police officers to encourage and empower them to protect lives and properties of citizens.
