As part of measures rolled out by the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV) towards deepening its community peace building activities in communities across the federation, the police initiative through its Kogi state campus affairs of the safer school/community will on November 17, 2020 by 11 am in Lokoja, inaugurate a total of 28-man lead team of 7 persons from each of the four prominent tertiary institutions of higher learning in the state.
The team will be headed by Comrade Obaje Mustapha with Amb. Godstime Samuel, the Director Campus Affairs, POCACOV giving the lead.
This move will no doubt, progressively broaden POCACOV campaign against cultism, sexual and gender-based violence, thuggery and violence as well as other vices. It will also galvanize stakeholders’ participation and support for youth value reorientation, engagement and strategic leadership direction.
Meanwhile, the student leader Comrade Mustapha Obaje has appreciated the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force under IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu for coming up with the POCACOV initiative.
In a similar development, the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) in Delta state through the lead Ambassador and the Chairman of the Pocacov Volunteer Club (PVC) for safer school and community, Austyne Emu is set to organize a community driven and peace building programme in collaboration with ROCKSTONE SUITE tagged “Community Hangout” between the police and members of the public.
The programme is set to hold on Saturday 28, 2020 in Asaba Delta state.
POCACOV is a community driven and oriented programme of the Nigeria Police Force under IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, involving different stakeholders and using community oriented policing approaches.
