The executive governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has officially dissolved Edo State Executive Council as he is being inaugurated today for second term.
The governor in a Statement said; “Today, I dissolved the Edo State Executive Council, ahead of my inauguration for a second term in office.
“As I announced the dissolution at a valedictory executive council session at the Government House in Benin City, I expressed appreciation to the outgoing council members for their selfless service to the state.
“I also emphasized that when chosen to serve the people, we should truly serve, as we all would, one day, give account to God. I thanked the former members of my cabinet, urging them to continue to work and support my administration.
“In his remarks, my Deputy, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, commended me for my leadership style, adding that all former members of the cabinet learnt from my political ideology.
“Also, outgoing Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq., commended me adding that my leadership style prompted the cabinet members to be efficient and effective in service delivery.”
