Barr. Ben Nwoye, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Enugu State have expressed confidence that their party will win the isiuzo by-election coming up tomorrow, 5th December by a landslide.
Barr. Nwoye disclosed that the independent assessment carried by the party in the 11 wards that the election will be carried out reveals that their candidate is in a great footing to clinch the seat and what they’re doing now is to ensure the people turn out tomorrow.
“Among the youths, our candidate has 80% acceptance and 90% amongst widows and women. We are pleading with our supporters to come out and vote. Our supporters mustn’t be complacent at this time”
Speaking with JOURNALIST101 in Enugu, Barr. Nwoye hinted that the ICT unit if their campaign in Isiuzo is calling on the voters to come out and vote.
“We are calling the voters directly on their phone lines. We have campaigned vigorously across the 11 electoral wards in the state Assembly constituency and we are certain of victory because our candidate is generally accepted and very popular.”
The APC Boss also expressed confidence on the level of preparedness of INEC and security agencies.
“We observed the distribution of materials at central bank, we also observed the distribution of materials this afternoon at Ikem and we are confident that the election will commence early and the votes will be secured by the security agents from the information available to us.
“So far, we are satisfied with the level of preparations by the REC and the security agencies because we have been promised a high level of protection for voters and the votes,” Nwoye said.
He also expressed optimism that INEC will deploy the new system of uploading election results on their website as done in recent elections in the country and this makes rigging almost impossible.
