The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV) has revealed that the upcoming programme to be organized by its Ambassador who also is a Delta State-born comedian known as O.V King or MC Alleluya, is in line with POCACOV program of ‘Self Discovery’ for the youths.
According to the National Coordinator of POCACOV, CSP Ebere Amaraizu, “the program has been well packaged by the POCACOV Ambassador and a notable Comedian, MC Alleluya alongside other relevant stakeholders as supported by the Delta state government to celebrate academic excellence in the state tertiary institutions as well as diligence.
The program was tagged ‘Delta and Beyond Excellence Awards.’
According to MC Alleluya: “It is all about helping the youths to discover themselves and their potentials. It is all about promoting academic seriousness and excellence as well as diligence. The event is to help inculcate academic seriousness and make them to discover their potentials and by so doing, eschew vices and become champions.
“Successful students/youths will be rewarded as well as their lecturers. Those that have done well in communities as community leaders, and in governance as well as their field of endeavours in Delta state will be recognized.”
“This is in line with POCACOV goals of Self Discovery. The event which will hold on a yet-to-be fixed date in Asaba will also feature Integrity Award Night for all sons and daughters that have distinguished themselves in their chosen profession and carears in Delta state,” he added.
