The National President of the apex Nkanu youth body who also doubles as the Special Assistant to the Governor on Culture, Hon. Monday Diamond Ani, lauded the governor for his outstanding leadership qualities which he recently extended to the good people of Umuisu Community, in Nkanu land, describing him as a progenitor of peace in Igboland.

Mr Ani on behalf of the Nkanu Youth Organization congratulated the Igwe-elect, HRH Igwe Sunday Nwobodo and charged him to imbibe the spirit of wisdom, devoid of politics while he reigns on his throne.

According to Ani, “Gov Ugwuanyi has proved in all ramifications that he is a man of peace, vision and agent of unity, there is no governor in Nigeria that is as pro-peaceful as Governor Ugwuanyi, for his unquenchable desire to enthrone peace and unity in every rural community in Enugu State and beyond he has proven to be the Progenitor of Peace in Igboland.

“The entire executive members of Nkanu Youth Council and hundreds of thousands of Nkanu youths both at home and in diaspora are appreciative of this gesture.

“We also use this medium to appeal to him to intervene in the leadership crisis that has engulfed Ishi-Ozalla community for a year now. As it concerns Ishi-Ozalla community on Igweship and Town Union leadership, the community has lived in disunity for over a year now, owing to the critical activities of the two factions loyal to Hon. Chief Frank Nweke Jnr. (Fmr. Minister of Information) and Chief Sylvester Nweke(Don Sylvester), respectively.

“We appeal to His Excellency to apply his peace mantra mechanism for the restoration of peace, unity and acceptable leadership to Ishi-Ozalla community.”
