The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) has appointed a youth advocate, Alli-Bob Cinwon as the head of sports.
POCACOV is an initiative of Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, aimed at sensitizing Nigerian youths against the dangers of belonging to cult groups.
The National Coordinator of POCACOV, CSP Ebere Amaraizu said Alli-Bob’s appointment would go a long way in galvanising the support of stakeholders towards ensuring that cultism, drug abuse, violence and other vices are mitigated, especially among the youths.
Alli-Bob is a 25-year-old community mobilizer, humanitarian and sustainable development advocate.
He is the Founder and President of Evergreen Initiative, a youth-focused platform for capacity building and human capital development.
He is a certified Project Manager, Human Resource Personnel and an Alumnus of Babcock University, where he obtained a first degree in International Law and Diplomacy.
He is currently a student of the National institute of legislative studies undergoing a Masters degree in Legislative studies.
Along with his team, he has been able to cater for over 3000 displaced and vulnerable children. He runs the Summer school for internally displaced children which has been able to provide quality basic education for over 400 children. In 2019, Evergreen initiative announced The Evergreen Scholarship Trust Fund which currently provides academic scholarships for internally displaced children.
He hosts the National Youth Dialogue, a platform for young people to dialogue on pressing national issues, policy and social welfare.
He chairs the award committee of The Under 30 CEOs forum which hosts and awards outstanding young entrepreneurs under 30 annually.
Alli-Bob was listed as one of the 100 most influential Nigerians in the year 2019. He sits on the board of She Builds Lives Foundation, is a member of the Nigerian Technology Market advisory council, an ECOWAS Education Champion 2020 and Co-Host of the LETS TALK NIGERIA show geared at enriching democracy through civic engagement in Nigeria on NCBN 106.7fm.
Alli-Bob is the project manager of the Agricultural Skills Acquisition Program 2020 at Farmagric Foundation for Agriculture where he has managed the training of over 600 farmers, women and youth.
As a community mobilizer and human rights activist, Alli-Bob was one of the frontline youths during the #EndSARS protest in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria.
