The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) has unveiled Amanda Ifeoma Akunne, an international beauty queen and model as its ambassador.
Beauty queen Amanda was unveiled yesterday by the National Coordinator Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), CSP Ebere Amaraizu.
She was charged to work with other relevant stakeholders for the realization of the aims of Self Discovery program of POCACOV in the areas of sensitization of the girl child, cutting the conveyor belt and the supply chains, thereby making them woman of value and virtue in line with the agenda of the sustainable development goals(SDGs).
Present at the unveiling event includes some POCACOV stakeholders and ambassadors.
According to the National Cordinator POCACOV, “she is unveiled today as a POCACOV Ambassador to help in the sensitizations, advocacy and mentorship class of POCACOV especially as it concerns the girl child for strategic leadership direction.”
Responding, Queen Amanda thanked the Inspector General of Police IGP M.A Adamu and the Nigeria Police Force for coming up with the POCACOV initiative which has helped to sensitize different stakeholders, especially the young minds which includes the girl-child on the dangers inherent in cultism and other vices and the need to be a champion.
She revealed that she joined POCACOV having carefully followed their various programmes and activities which is appealing to the conscience of the young minds.
She further maintained that she has a drive to help the girl child to overcome low self-esteem and to build them to become a woman of value and virtue in their environment and POCACOV is offering such platform.
Amanda is a graduate of international Relations and Diplomacy from Afe Babalola University Ado Ekiti and from Abatete Anambra State and has won so many international beauty peagent/model award such as Miss Africa international beauty peagent/model held in TURKEY 2019.
