Dr. Ben Nwoye, the caretaker Chairman of Enugu All Progressives Congress, APC said the revalidation exercise of the party is an opportunity for the people of South East to demonstrate their seriousness about 2023 Presidency under the party.
Dr Nwoye who spoke with our correspondent earlier in the week when the state chapter of the party concluded the training of the trainers that will train the members of the party that will handle the registration at the polling unit level. An activity the APC Boss said ” is in line with the processes prescribed by the National working committee of the APC ahead of the commencement of the registration”
“All necessary preparation has been made to ensure that we register as many as are ready to join the party.”
While calling on the people to come out en mass and register to join the party, Dr. Nwoye said this is the first step the people of the South East needs to take towards 2023 Presidency.
“When people are agitating that it’s the turn of the South East to become the next president, part of the things they need to do is to mobilize people. If those in the South wants the Presidency to come to the South, what they need to do is to mobilize more people,” he said.
Nwoye expressed confidence that people will come out to join the party because the party has done so well for the people of South East especially in the area of infrastructure and social investment programmes.
The registration exercise is expected to last for two weeks.
