The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) on 9/2/2021 conducted successfully Nigeria Police Force ongoing program tagged “School visitations to safer school and community” through which young minds are well educated on the right way to go and devoid of involvement in cultism and other related vices in order to be a champion.

During the exercise which took place at Special Science Boys Secondary School Agbani, the entire school staff and students were thankful to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu and the Nigeria Police Force on the POCACOV initiative.

The School Principal, Obasi Christopher noted it was a good thing that will help to reorient and restore value system as well as helping to cut the conveyor belt and chains of vices among young minds.

He said: “This is our first time of experiencing this kind of school visitation in our school here by the Nigeria Police Force and they are educating our school children on the right way to go, there is no doubt that the police has turned friendly and we are grateful to IGP Adamu for this wonderful initiative.”

The school visitation program witnessed security and safety education by the officer in charge of gender-based IGP M.A Adamu POCACOV Resource Centre Enugu, ASP Nwakaego Adoh who also spoke on COVID-19, care of the boy and girl child, self discovery and carear opportunities in Nigeria Police Force.

Lending his voice, the IGP M.A Adamu Pocacov Resource Manager, Kennedy Okoro Obinna spoke on the road map to becoming a champion where he highlighted on the need for young persons to say No to cultism, exam malpractices and other related vices in order to be a champion. The entire exercise was later turned to scenario based by the POCACOV Team for the purpose of clarity and understanding.

The occassion also witnessed mentorship section and formal inauguration of POCACOV Fan Club headed by the school security education teacher, Enechukwu Ugonna who also promised that the POCACOV Fan Club will be meeting in the school every Friday of the week and will also run POCACOV school chess game for value reorientation, engagement, strategic leadership direction and self discovery.
