•Says Buhari’s govt pays ransom to bandits, terrorists
Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has described as ‘hypocritical’ the statement from the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration that his government can never negotiate with bandits and other terrorist groups ravaging the north.
MASSOB noted that the claim was “a presidential and monumental deceit against the citizens,” adding that the president continuously paid, in secret, “billions of naira as ransom exchange for the release of the victims of the series of arranged kidnappings going on in northern region.”
In a statement released on Monday by the leader of MASSOB, Uchenna Madu, the pro-Biafra group alleged that the Federal Government was indirectly equipping the Fulani terrorists with huge funds from oil proceeds through payment of ransom.
The statement added that: “President Muhammadu Buhari is preparing the Fulanis of Mali, Sudan, Chad and other West African States for Islamic conquest of entire Nigeria. They will work with Boko Haram and Islamic State in West African Province (ISWAP) in their planned islamization war against the rest of Nigerians.
“The so-called bandits and gunmen operating daily in the northern region without government clampdown are fulanis.”
MASSOB further revealed that the primary aim of building major highway and railway roads from Katsina state to Niger Republic was to aid the easy transportation of weapons and mass movement of Fulanis from outside Nigeria.
“This administration of Nigeria government is currently being controlled by Islamic religious extremists that have only one agenda of fulfilling the impossible task of Utman Dan Fodio.
“President Muhammadu and his parasitic Fulani cabals in Aso Villa will never succeed in their quest of making every regions of Nigeria to become the permanent homeland for the Fulani race,”the statement concluded.
