A traditional ruler in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu state, HRH Engr. Peter Eje, Chineneze 1 of Ogbodu Aba Udenu has commended the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu and the Nigeria Police Force on the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) initiative which he described as community policing at work.
He made the commendation yesterday in Udenu on the occasion of the POCACOV activity titled “POCACOV In My Community” at Obolloafor court premises which also featured POCACOV campaign musical launch and presentations tagged “Too Much Evil In Our Society, and We Need Peace and Love” by POCACOV Ambassador and Musician, Innocentus alias Centus Park.
According to the Royal Father, “I have carefully and keenly followed the activities of POCACOV initiative and it’s just community policing at work because it involves all and for a better society.
“I want to use this opportunity to call on others to support this laudable program of the Nigeria Police Force for a peaceful,safe and secured community.”
On his part, the National Coordinator Udenu Believers Forum(UBF), Pastor Charles Nnaji, appreciated the program and the POCACOV initiative and charged all who has taken into crime and criminality, especially cultism and other vices to come out of them and work for the development of the society.
“Cultism and other vices are evil and we have to shun them by seeking the face of God as he is the Author and Finisher of our lives,” Nnaji said.
He used the opportunity to pray for those that came out to give their lives to Christ Jesus while advising them to stay linked to POCACOV.
Speaking on the topic: ‘Cultism and Other Vices, Dangers and Consequences,’ the National Coordinator POCACOV, CSP Ebere Amaraizu maintained that cultism and other vices remain a growing menace to socio-economic development of the society and advised youths to always Say No to cultism and other vices in order to be a champion and for a progressive society.
He commended the efforts of the POCACOV Ambassador Innocentus for coming up with the campaign Musical Album which is part of the activities of POCACOV, pointing out that POCACOV ‘In My Community’ will be conducted in cities and communities like Kaduna, Warri, Katsina, Zamfara, Auchi, Jos, Aba, Onitsha, Ogoni Rivers State, Niger state amongst other states and communities.
The Forum attracted attendance from the women group, youth based group, children and religious group.
Highlight of the event was performance on the stage by the POCACOV Musician and Ambassador Innocentus on the track ‘Say No to Cultism and other Vices’ and ‘Evil has taken over the World and We Need Peace and Love.’ There was also formal unveiling of the campaign musiclbum to mark the public presentations.
