The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP. Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu, felicitates with Christians in the State, as they join other Christians in the world to commemorate this year’s Easter Celebration, from Friday 2nd to Monday 5th April, 2021.
In a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, the police commissioner reassured citizens of the state of the Command’s preparedness to collaborate with sister security agencies and stakeholders to provide adequate security before, during and after the period of the celebration and holidays.
He called on Christians to use the period of the commemoration, which marks the birth and resurrection of Jesus Christ, to reflect and pray for continued security and peace in the state.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner has further reassured commitment of the Command to enforce the subsisting Executive Order, issued by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, which regulates the operational time of tricycle operators from 6.am to 9.pm daily.
He made it clear that violators of the order would be arrested and prosecuted in the Mobile Court constituted by the State Government.
He, therefore, enjoins residents of the state to remain law-abiding, vigilante and promptly report suspected criminals and their activities to the Command by calling: 08032003702, 08075390883, 08086671202 or 08098880172; or by sending electronic mail to [email protected].
