Former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi has condemned the attack on Professor Chukwuma Soludo, the former central Bank governor saying that, “Political violence should have no place in the democratic process in Anambra State.”
Soludo, a candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in Anambra guber election slated for 6th November, 2021 was attacked by yet to be identified gunmen in his Isuofia hometown when he was having a town hall meeting with youths in his community.
The attack left three of his security details dead while the Commissioner for Public Utilities, Engineer Emeka Ezenwanne was whisked away by the gunmen.
The former vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in a post via his twitter account said: “The Ballot and not the Bullet should determine the outcome of our elections.”
He so called on the security agents to step up their game and arrest the culprits.

“Meantime, security needs to be stepped up, and the culprits fished out and prosecuted to serve as deterrents to copycats.”
