The home of Imo Governor going up in flames

Enugu State chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC has condemned the attack on the country home of Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma.

Gunmen on Saturday, 24th April, burnt the home of the Governor at Omuma, Oru East Local Government Area and destroyed so many vehicles.

Speaking to Journalist101, the Chairman of Enugu APC, Dr Ben Nwoye said the attack on the Governor’s home should be a source of concern to all and charged the government to step up security in the country.

“We are calling on the Government to step up security all over the country and around all politically exposed persons. If the home of a serving Governor with all the security presence can be attacked and destroyed, no politically exposed person is free in the South East.

“The government should beef-up security in the homes and offices of political exposed persons, especially those in opposition in the South East.”

Barr. Nwoye called on relevant authority to ensure that the perpetrators of the attack doesn’t go free.

“The government should hunt down the perpetrators of this heinous act and their conspirators/sponsors and bring them to justice. The matter shouldn’t be swept under the carpet, Nwoye said.”

Journalist101 recalls that in 2018, the state chairman of the APC was almost assassinated in his house and till date, no single arrest was made and no update from the security agents
