A social media user accused of giving out information to security agencies leading to the killing of IPOB/ESN Commander, Ikonso Don has cautioned members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to stop threatening him over the death of their commander.
Denying the allegation in a viral video on his Facebook page, Zonaboy Obi said he has received loads of messages from members of the group, threatening to attack him anywhere he is seen.
Zonaboy who admitted having disagreements with Ikonso and members of IPOB over their style of agitation said it never got physical while describing the late IPOB commander as his friend and brother.
He added that he regretted attacking IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu in the past on his online videos but said he has since apologized and refrained from the act.
He advised that IPOB members should be looking for ways to mourn Ikonso and ensure his family is taken care of, instead of putting out blames.
Sahara Reporters had reported that Nigerian Army’s operation against the Eastern Security Network (ESN) and Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Awomamma Village, Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State was aided by local informants which led to the killing of Ikonso.
IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful had also said on Sunday April 25 that Ikonso was ambushed. Powerful said; “Saturday, our commander went to his village. They ambushed him with some politicians. They ordered the military to kill him. In Imo State, they arrested more than 50 people. They have been going to people’s houses to arrest them; in Anambra, they arrested so many people; in Abia, they arrested so many people.”
