The Enugu State ministry of Youths and Sports has announced the indefinite suspension of the proposed Enugu Youth ‘Thank You Rally’ that was to be held in honour of the Enugu State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi
The rally which was scheduled to hold on Friday 14th May 2021, at Michael Okpara Square, Enugu was postponed “in compliance with Presidential Steering Committee on Covid-19 Guidelines of Tuesday 10 May 2021 occasioned by increasing risk of a surge in cases Corona Virus Disease,” the statement by Hon. Manfred Nzekwe, the Hon Commissioner for Youths and Sports said.
In the statement titled ‘INDEFINITE POSTPONEMENT OF ENUGU YOUTHS FOR GBURUGBURU THANK YOU RALLY’, the Hon Commissioner said that a “new date for the event will be made public in due course.”
“…the Ministry sincerely regrets any inconveniences the change in date may have caused,” the statement concluded.
