Chief Ambassador Dr. Charles Chiadikaobi Chukwu, was born into the family of Chief Dr. Frank Chukwu, the Ugwunaeche mba 1 of Mmaku Ugwu Town and Lolo Suzana Chukwu.
Chief Ambassador Dr. Charles Chiadikaobi Chukwu hails from Mmaku Ugwu Town in Awgu LGA of Enugu State.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Chief Amb. Dr. Charles Chiadikaobi Chukwu, attended the University Primary School, Enugu after which he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate (FSCL). He immediately proceeded to the Federal Government College Enugu, where he completed his secondary education in 1999.
After the completion of his secondary school, Chief Ambassador (Dr.) Charles Chukwu as a young man and a true son of his parents, satisfied and motivated by the conducts and high educational qualification of his both parents who motivated and encouraged him to follow their footsteps, got admitted into the Department of Medicine and Surgery of Abia State University, Uturu where he successfully graduated as a Medical Doctor in 2006/2007.
PROFESSIONAL WORKS AND EXPERIENCES:
MEDICAL PRACTICE:
Chief Amb. Dr. Charles Chiadikaobi Chukwu as a medical practitioner during his national assignment as a youth corper served as a medical officer at a Primary Health Centre in Niger State where he got firsthand knowledge of inadequate medical care at various villages which brought his drive in social work towards Medical Missions as one of his four cardinal philanthropic activities.
As a young Medical Doctor, he proceeded with his graduate internship program at the Enugu State University Teaching Hospital. Afterwards, he secured a job as a medical officer at the Enugu State Hospital Management Board, Olo in Ezeagu, where his services boosted the quality of health care delivery in the entire Olo, Akiji Umulokpa community and Enugu at large.
He also worked as Medical Officer and Surgeon with the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Ituku/Ozalla, Enugu.
BUSINESS ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Chief Amb. Dr. Charles Chiadikaobi Chukwu is characterized with vast business exposure which has made him the preeminent person for foreign direct investors in Nigeria to deal with when huge amount of money is needed for investments across various sectors of the Nigerian economy to change the economic landscape of Nigeria.
Furthermore, Dr. Chukwu is a locally and internationally renowned businessman with interests spread across Nigeria and the rest of the world. He is the CEO and Founder of Charles De Great Nig Limited, Charles De King Entertainment Nig LTD and Charles De Great International.
Here in Nigeria, his group of companies known as Charles De Great Nigeria Limited are into Road Construction, Housing Development and Real Estate, Sand Dredging and Stock Piling, Land Canalization, Granite Quarrying, Precious Metal Trading, Oil and Gas, Entertainment, Agro-Allied and Pharmaceuticals amongst others.
Internationally, Dr. Chukwu runs a United States registered company called Charles De Great LLC and on a global scale he does international Trade and Development, Financial Instruments, Commodity Trading, Precious Metal and Foreign Exchange.
Pharmaceutical Innovation:
Dr. Chukwu working with his partners in India has been able to set up a pharmaceutical company, Charles De Great Pharmaceutical Limited, which makes much needed drugs for common ailments available at a fraction of the costs charged by established pharmaceutical companies.
Wave of Change Nigeria Initiative:
This is an agricultural initiative of Dr. Chukwu which aims to create sixteen million (16,000,000) direct and indirect jobs within 5 years that will be spread across the various States and Local Governments in Nigeria. The goal of this initiative is to establish agro and other related industries within various communities in Nigeria (with at least one industry in each Senatorial Zone). These industries will harness, process and commercialize local produce/content from the local community for export.
This will serve as a foreign exchange earner for the Federal Government as well as increase the Internally Generated Revenues (IGR) of the State and Local Governments where these industries are situated by at least 50%, bring much needed development to the communities, reduce the crime rate, etc.
Currently, this initiative is already in top gear as over 10,000 cassava farmers spread across three States who are cultivating over 2,000 hectares of farm land are being mobilized in the Phase 1 of this Initiative with the goal of producing a yearly capacity of 1,500,000 tonnes of cassava for export.
Dr. Chukwu’s company, Charles De Great Nigeria Limited, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) as part of her mission to bring about nation building and sustainable development through farming. The above named company is the sole development partner of the NYCN and the Principal Investor in the Save Nigeria Project(SNP), a noble initiative he created and established which is targeted to create millions of direct and indirect jobs within five (5) years that will cut across the various states and local governments in Nigeria. The SNP project has commenced and its goal is to establish agro-allied, mining and other related industries within various communities in Nigeria with at least one (1) industry in each 109 senatorial districts in the country.
These industries will not only boost the economic fortunes of Nigeria but shall also harness process and commercialize local products/content from their respective communities for export to other countries of the world.
POLITICAL ASPIRATION/IDEOLOGY
Chief Amb. Dr. Charles Chiadikaobi Chukwu, is a faithful and committed stakeholder of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He has contributed massively towards the growth of the party at different capacities. Starting from his community, he has at different times supported the party both in cash and kind. His benevolence did not stop at his community level but spreads to the ward, LGA, state and the entire nation alike.
Chief Amb. Dr. Charles Chiadikaobi Chukwu, as a courageous and exemplary servant leader who leads by example and whose good reputation endears him to the people is eminently poised to do more for the party if given the opportunity.
Chief Ambassador Dr. Charles Chiadikaobi Chukwu as a well-equipped and knowledgeable statesman, is a quiet achiever though very dogged when it comes to achieving results. Hence Dr. Charles Chiadikaobi Chukwu is presenting himself to serve and as well work in unison with all party faithfuls to lead APC to the Enugu State Government House (Lion Building) come 2023.
Dr. Chukwu is currently the National Chairman of ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS UNITED PUBLICITY ASSOCIATION(APCUPA) which is an affiliate of the ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS (APC) which handled grassroots publicity mobilization for the APC and was very active throughout the Federation, promoting the APC and ensuring the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari. He served as the Deputy National Youth of the Presidential Support Committee at the Presidency.
Dr. Chukwu was the pioneer Vice Chairman(Representing the entire South of Nigeria) of the Presidential Committee on Mobilization for Buhari 2019 SGF office, generating the political will, policies and structures which contributed to the success of the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Dr. Chukwu is also the current President of the Progressive Youth Movement(PYM) and Save Nigeria Project(SNP). These political structures due to its grassroots penetration was used extensively to campaign for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Dr. Chukwu believes in a united Nigeria where electorates feel the dividend of democracy form the nation that is well industrialized to promptly provide the welfare and rights of her citizens at all given times.
He believes in visions and principles of President Muhammadu Buhari and served as a member of the Presidential Campaign Council during the concluded presidential election. A proponent of the Next Level Agenda.
PHILANTHROPY
Dr. Chukwu carries out his philanthropy activities through his Charles De Great Foundation and this organization covers the following four cardinal areas of focus:
Youth Empowerment: He has empowered hundreds of youths in the areas of capacity development, etc.
Economic Empowerment: Dr. Chukwu via his N.G.O. has empowered persons with little resources to start their own businesses and fend for themselves.
Medical Missions: His charitable organization routinely carries out free medical missions across rural areas in Enugu State where the poor and less privilege members of the society who cannot access public health institutions due to their penury or the remote locations of these health centers are given free medical treatment and drugs. These medical missions are carried out by well trained and fully qualified and equipped medical personnel with the active corporation of the local traditional rulers, elders and clergy in these rural areas who help in reaching out and mobilizing the poor in their communities to turn out for their medical treatments.
Entrepreneurship Development: Dr. Chukwu works with youths across various states in Nigeria empowering the local populace with the resources to be financially independent via agriculture and other means.
IMPACT ON HUMAN LIVES/SOCIAL WORKS
Chief Amb. (Dr.) Charles Chukwu from his early begining as a young Philanthropist, has touched numerous lives of the less-privileged both known and unknown, irrespective of age, tribe, religion and political affiliation considering it is a need that must be attended to.
Owing to his empathy, display of love, concern for human, simplicity, accessibility and long practice of genuine and selfless charity has earned him a lot of relevance, including political recognition following his enviable character, principles and ideology of ensuring the welfare of the less privileged and/or the needy are prioritized and not politicized.
As the President of the Save Nigeria Project (SNP), Chief Amb. Dr. Charles Chiadikaobi Chukwu has used and continued to use that platform to empower and impact on people’s lives positively, especially the youths, in areas of human capital development, job creation, amongst others.
Chief Ambassador (Dr.) Charles Chiadikaobi Chukwu was conferred as the Eminent Peace Ambassador by International Association of World Peace Advocates, an affiliate body of the United Nation during his annual Youth and Students (NYCN/NANS) Dialogue held in Enugu State on 23rd December, 2017.
Dr. Charles Chukwu was also honoured in the 3rd edition of the Mike Omotosho Annual Lecture for his contributions towards the goals of revolutionizing agriculture in Nigeria and the 2017 highest youth empowerer of the year.
Dr. Chukwu and his Company Charles De Great Nigeria Limited has been officially recognized by the Presidential Committee on Empowerment and Sensitization for President Muhammadu Buhari due to his numerous visible empowerments of the masses which have been identified as an unflinching support to the current administration to reduce unemployment.
His gesture and mentorship to the Directorate of Political and Democratic matters of National Youth Council of Nigeria has also helped to establish cross-cultural leadership teams of peer leaders capable to be self-reliance that has enhance unbiased promotion of good governance, contributing to nation building and working/supporting patriotic and visionary leaders like Chief Ambassador (Dr.) Charles Chukwu.
