The Special Adviser to Enugu State Governor on Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Development, Hon. Arinze Chilo Offiah is leaving no stone unturned in exposing undergraduates in Enugu Tertiary Institutions to the opportunities available to them at Enugu SME Centre.

Hon. Offiah, the Head of Enugu SME Center is leading a team of the Centre on a ‘sensitisation tour’ to all the tertiary institutions in Enugu State to sensitise the students on how they can key into the rare opportunity made available by the Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi which is aimed at ensuring that all students of Enugu State Higher institutions gets at least one skill before graduation.

According to Arinze Chilo Offiah, the Enugu SME Centre has several ongoing programmes the students can key into and improve their standard of living.

Speaking to the students of Coal City University, Enugu, Hon. Offiah revealed that the Centre provides opportunities in the areas of Digital Marketing, Programming, Product Design, Fashion, Data Anakytics, Agriculture, Financial Literacy, Cybersecurity amongst others skill scquisistikn programs.

Loan Programs and capacity development programs were also discussed with the students.

The Director for Entrepreneurship Coal City University, Mr Okechukwu Chukwuemeka, thanked the Governor and his SPA on SME, Hon Arinze Chilo-Offiah, for running with their vision of building, empowering and developing the students and youths of the state through series of programs from Enugu SME center.

Enugu SME Centre under the leadership of Arinze Chilo Offiah, has recorded tremendous achievements and has changed the lives of people in the state through disbursement of loans to their program’s beneficiaries who are youths, farmers, students, traders and so on, with minimal interest rates to stimulate the growth of small and medium enterprises in the state .

Also, Students who own small business in any Higher institution within the state can apply for the ongoing Human Capital Development Loan (HCDL), World-class Skill Acquisition programs, Free Capacity Development Programs, Access to Credit as well as job Creation Schemes, Business Grants amongst others at the Enugu SME Center located at No. 2a Market Garden Avenue Opposite SME Roundabout along Ebeano Tunnel GRA Enugu or go to www.enugusme.en.gov.ng to learn more about the programs offered by the Agency
