The forum of Special Assistants to Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has thrown their weight in support of the zoning arrangement which entails the rotation of the governorship position among the three senatorial zones in the state.
This was part of the resolution of members of the Forum that hailed from Enugu East senatorial zone, after a meeting held on Tuesday to appraise the administration of the governor.
The Forum which declared their unalloyed support for Governor Ugwuanyi’s administration, stressed the importance of maintaining the zoning formula in the interest of justice, equity, peace and fairness.
According to a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting and signed by the Chairman of the Forum and Special Assistant to the Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Monday Diamond Ani and the Forum Secretary, Johnpaul Anih, Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Matters, “We pass a vote of confidence on the Executive Governor of Enugu State Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his outstanding leadership traits towards the unprecedented development of Enugu State.
“We reaffirm our undiluted love, support and loyalty to our undisputed leader His Excellency Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for finding us worthy to serve under this administration for the betterment of Enugu State.
“We strongly commend the leaders of Enugu East Senatorial Zone for the proposed rally tagged: OGANIRU ENUGU EAST SENATORIAL DISTRICT 2023 which will on the 17th June 2021.
“In view of this, we firmly stand on the principle of zoning system for the maintenance of governorship rotation in Enugu State for the entrenchment of equity, fairness, peace, unity and progress of the State, also stating categorically clear, our unalloyed support to our Leader, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on his immaculate and consolidated stand for the continuation of maintenance of zoning system for Governorship position which will usher in a candidate of Enugu East Senatorial Zone come 2023.”
