Some youth groups purportedly under the umbrella of Ohanaeze youth said it has agreed to unite as one entity.
The groups noted that the agreement to unite came when Hon. Offiah Kingsley Ndubuisi, led the delegation of his faction of executives in the state, along with Comr. Igwesi Fidelis of Ohanaeze Youth Parliament and Hon. Tochukwu Eze of Ohanaeze Youths World Wide to a meeting with the State President of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Prof Frederick Eze and the State Youth Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Odo.
At the end of the meeting, they resolved “to collapse our various youth groups and structures into one authentic Ohanaeze Youth Wing, Enugu State Chapter under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Odo.
“That in the spirit of reconciliation, love, harmony, peace and genuine understanding, every structure of the various factional groups of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youths, Enugu State, has being harmonized and subsumed into Ohaneze Ndigbo Youth Wing, Enugu state.”
They also resolved that “henceforth, no person or group should parade themselves with any name that has Ohaneze attached to it in Enugu State. Defaulters shall be visited with severe sanctions.”
The youth group also pledged their unalloyed loyalty and support to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, commending him for his untiring efforts in ensuring peace and security in Enugu State and we pledge to work closely with him to promote peace and unity in the state.
They pledged to work assiduously to promote Igbo language and culture in the state.
