Former minister of aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the arrest of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and a close friend of Mr Kanu said he has confirmed that the IPOB leader is in custody and advised the FGN to trade with caution.
The Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami had said on Tuesday that Kanu was arrested following the collaborative effort of other international communities but failed to give further information about the arrest and subsequent extradition to Nigeria.
Writing via his social media platform, FFK as he’s fondly called said: “It is no longer news that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been arrested and detained.
“I advise the Federal Government to ensure that he does not die in custody and that he is treated with decency, decorum and respect.”
