Worried by the pockets of security challenges in the state, the Governor of Enugu, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi visited some forests and escape routes of the yet-to-be identified gunmen, across four local government areas.
The Governor who was in the areas for an on the spot assessment was accompanied by the Heads of Security Agencies in the state.
The visit was after a closed-door meeting with the security chiefs at the Government House, Enugu, on Thursday.
The meeting, which lasted for three hours was wasn’t unconnected to the by security challenges in the State in particular and the country at large.
While on the tour, the governor and Heads of the Nigerian Army, Air Force, Police and Department State Services (DSS) in the state took far reaching decisions aimed at tackling the challenges squarely.
Gov. Ugwuanyi and the security chiefs were accompanied to locations by the Chairman of Nkanu East LGA, Engr. Abel Nwobodo and the member representing Nkanu West Constituency, Rt. Hon. Iloabuchi Aniagu.
