The National coordinator Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), CSP Ebere Amaraizu, has charged young minds on the need not to give in to pressures that will see them compromise their integrity and thus embrace negative tendencies and social vices which will affect them, their future and the society in general.
Amaraizu gave the charge to students and other stakeholders in a forum known as Integrity Debate organized by the Global Society for Anti-corruption (GSAC) in partnership with relevant stakeholders held in Enugu on July, 28 and signed at reorienting our young minds on social vices, promoting integrity and enhancing child development for a greater society.
According to Amaraizu, “corruption debases integrity and when integrity is compromised, corrupt and negative tendencies will now assume its position and people will now start getting the effect because it is an ill wind that blows nobody any good.”
He, however, cautioned young minds not to do anything to compromise their integrity but look forward to becoming a champion at all times by saying no to cultism, negative tendencies and other vices.
There was integrity debate competition amongst the participating schools in which Osisatech Girls Secondary School emerged first position while Trans Ekulu Girls Secondary School came second.
