Popular Abuja Chef, Emeka Vincent-Eloagu, has been found dead in his Abuja residence late Sunday night.
Eloagu is the creative director of Helenes Food Company, an Abuja-based brand.
It was gathered that the lifeless body of the chef was found in his apartment on Sunday.
Multiple sources say the body of Emeka, widely known for his range of cuisines in Abuja had been discovered by his wife.
Narrating how he died, some of his friends said: “Emeka was killed last night, we do not know how and why but we are all in shock”, said the source who does not want his name in print.
“What will anyone have against Emeka? He was the most beautiful human in and out”.
“We will wait for the family to issue a formal statement, but at this point we are still devastated by the news about his demise.”
Another account says, “Emeka was murdered last night in his house by suspected persons known to him as he had allowed the persons into the house, they left him tied up and naked in his apartment – the source continued, “two men had gained access to the Premises – they strangled him”.
Eloagu is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Paris with a Grande Diplomé in cuisine and patisserie.
He creates a combination of French cooking methods with Nigerian cuisine and is known to have hosted prominent celebrities and politicians at his restaurant.
To mark his 35th birthday, Eloagu had launched a cookbook titled ’35 Easy Recipes For You To Cook’.
Describing himself, he once wrote: “Chef Emeka believes in the artistry of food. He believes good food connects us with people and places and is an important aspect of cultural heritage. He enjoys traveling the world, learning.”
The deceased is survived by his wife and family members.
